So I decided to add creatine to my supps to see what it's all about. I started taking 10g / day 7 days ago (I'll go down to 5g / day now). Seems I've added about 2 lbs of water weight and my abs are not as defined. But today's lift session was outstanding. I normally just do one major lift with 2-3 accessories. Today was a good squat day. I was going to stop and get some stuff done but was feeling pumped. So I did my OHP and got a new PR. Then I did barbell curls and went 5x10 heavier than I ever have. Then I did 5x10 lying tricep extensions at my normal weight and had more left. I still have strength left for some ab work. This volume of work has never happened before.

Is this the creatine or was I just having a good lift day? Not sure if it could kick in after a week, but maybe it did.

Life is good.

Tom

Creatine: The most dangerous of the steroid variants....

All joking aside, it was probably a little bit of both. It might have just been a good day, you might be having a little bit of a placebo effect, and the creatine might be doing its stuff. None of these things are necessarily bad or negative.

Give it some more time and see how you feel.

Keep in mind the quick size gains go when the creatine does, so just be prepared for that.

    3 things
    , Creatine helped.
    , Carbs helped,
and the placebo effect just hightened your workout.
