So its been set up to lose 2 pounds a week for the past 6 months, Just out of curiousity i went through the guilded setup again with different options (lose 1 a week, increased activity levels, maintain weight etc)

Every single time it said I need to eat 1200 calories. Im 5 ft 3 165 pounds 1200 is how i lose 2-3 pounds a week pure weight loss for past 6 months.

Even when i put it as im very active and wish to maintain my weight it said 1200 and id lose 15 pounds by dec 30th. Why is it stuck telling me im fat and need to lose weight XD hahaha

This is what it looks like when i say very active and working out 2 hours a day 7 days a week and i want to maintain my weight. Still 1200 and telling me ill lose 3 pounds a week...

Not really sure anything anyone can tell me will help as im nt exactly new here i know its just glitching, Just curious if anyone else has this XD

Hmm. Does the website give you the same result? If not, it seems like an app glitch, and I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

There's something tickling at the back of my mind about this happening with someone else, but I can't remember the specifics of it. I know it's happened before and there was a thread about it.

The number of workouts you intend to do will make no difference on your calorie goal until you actually do them. When you talk about changing your activity are you talking about exercise or your activity level (sedentary, lightly active, etc)?

I've been having something similar as well (also on the website).

I set a custom goal a while back and then decided for curiosity's sake to go through the guided setup and see what my recommended calories for a 1 pound loss currently were. No matter how many times I go back through it (or whether I try to set it to maintenance or a 2 pound loss), it will continue to display the custom goal I had set.

I gave up and am sticking with setting my goals manually. *shrug* Sorry I can't help fix it, but at least you know you're not alone.

ETA: I also seem to have an odd occurrence of it starting to tell me that I've turned on custom daily calorie goals after attempting to change my calories (with some random days displayed), despite the fact that I'm not a paying member and I'm fairly sure that that's a pay-only feature.

Glad im not alone! haha. Im smart enough to know it was way wrong atleast and that makes me happy. 6 months ago i wouldnt have questioned it XD

Verify that your gender, height, current weight, and date of birth are all correct when you re-run the Guided Goals.

If that does not work, I would suggest you open a Case with Customer Support on the MFP Help/FAQ pages...

Pretty sure even if they were wrong the calories would be changing, And well above 1200 for a 165 pound 5 ft 3 girl to maintain her weight at very active:p thanks

This has happened to me. I ended up having to log out and log back in after every change.

MFP can be a bit glitchy from time to time. Hope you get it sorted!

At least it's stopped telling me I've eaten several million over goal, it used to do that reasonably frequently.

Because the options are no better. Frankly, I have experienced very few glitches.
