I've heard you have to drink enough water to loss weight. Just curious to why. To me it doesn't seem like it would make a difference.

It doesn't help in the "drink X amount of water and you'll lose Y extra weight than you would have lost otherwise" sense.

Be sure to drink enough to hydrate yourself properly. If your urine is dark, drink more. If it's light, you're drinking enough.

I have been drinking more water than I used to drink and it's been helpful for me in these ways:

    1. Extra water will wash out excess sodium which cuts down on water retention if I've eaten excess sodium.

    2. If I think I am hungry, I try drinking some water before I eat something just in case I was really getting a thirst signal.

    3. I drink plenty of water when I eat because I feel more full with the extra water and it helps my digestion.

Drinking more water helps flush out the water your body is retaining (bloating, etc) so can help you slim down. It does definitely make a difference, and helps you to eat less as well.

    I'll just leave this here:

TL;DR- water can gtfo, as NNS drinks (diet sodas) are superior to water for loss and maintenance.

That's an interesting little study. I find I drink more diet soda the leaner I get. I use it when I feel like a little something but know I really don't need to eat.
