Hello everyone. This is something i feel passionately about and i'm known for getting wound up easily by annoying TV ads. I thought i'd create a forum to see if anyone else gets annoyed as easily as me and post what ads annoy you the most at the moment.

At the moment- in the UK there is a TalkTalk advert with a couple sitting on a sofa and the woman starts laughing/screaching in this really annoying way. Naturally, this ad only ever comes on when my energetic puppy finally goes to sleep and it wakes her up everytime.

I really don't think I could pick just one. I rarely watch TV, but it seems there's only 15 minutes of show for every 20 minutes of commercials. It's crazy.

Record everything and when watching F/Forward through the ads - I've can't remember seeing a TV ad for a few years.

We use an on demand when able, and some of the shows won't let you ff. It's a cable rule with our ISP apparently. Maddening

I used to have that problem with a previous TV service I had but the On Demand programs served by UK Sky allow F/Forward, so luckily we don't have that very annoying problem.

I have noticed recently that some programs have ads in very weird places which makes it difficult to f/forward them. National Geographic's MARS program is one example.

There's rarely anything worth watching on TV anyway but when I do, I get disgusted by most of the ads. For some reason, most of the ads in the U.S. are discussing bodily functions. Here I am, trying to watch a movie and there comes a toilet paper ad, a bladder leakage medication ad, a menstrual pads ad, diarrhea and constipation medications pitches, one right after another. Yuk

All TV commercials to me are just annoying noise...

If I am watching the local news and even the national news around dinner time, I am ready to kill myself, or I know enough about medication that I will never want to take it cause the side effects have to be worse than you medical condition.

    Netflix is wonderful.

They had a pretty big court battle over the fast forwarding thing here in the US, and I don't know if all providers were included in the ruling, but the cable companies won...forced commercials, wow...

I'll see a viagra commercial with the middle age women.

I look at each one and think either: I'd hit that!

Or : Nah, she's not my type.

Don't blame me for thinking like this; viagra set the tone of the conversation, not me

Something creeps me out in this as too, have to figure yet. Big pharma with all their money have such offputting commercials. The psoriasis ads are OK but there are unproportionate amounts of time devoted to those meds. I don't believe we have a raging psoriasis epidemic in this country, as they portray

All advertising annoys me. I run an ad blocker in the browser, don't actually watch TV (Netflix doesn't interrupt what you're watching to try to sell you things you don't need), etc.

Any Progressive commercial gets on my nerves because they think they're funny but the jokes are usually flat and dumb but this annoys the hell out of me. It probably wouldn't be so bad if they didn't play it so frequently but they do

In theory there is suppose to be a volume standard that normalizes loud commercials so they don't blasts your TV. Don't know if they will ever implement it, but it was passed years ago.

I actually stream most of my TV shows. It's great, no wait. The only time I see a commercial now is if I go over to my parents or watch some sporting events.

Honestly, we don't really watch much t.v. at all...and what we do watch is usually recorded on DVR (so we can just skip the commercials) or Netflix or Hulu or something. I can't actually remember the last time I actually sat there and watched an actual commercial...I suppose during a football game or something...but I usually get up to go to the bathroom or get a beer or something.

The luxury car commercials geared at Christmas morning make me want to stomp on a basket full of new born kittens.

How come McDonalds commercials always feature a group of good looking, fit young people? Give me a frickin break!
