Hi my name is Dana!! I'm new to MFP, I'm 39 looking to loose about 40 lbs, what are some helpful tip that I can take on this journey, also if you are friends with somone on here can you see there journals?

    Hey there. Make a plan for fitness and eating. This app works great keeping informed of calorie and macro nutrient values. Set a goal and keep your journal up to date. You'll feel great looking back at your progress

    Hi Dana you have done the best one by joining the next is to weigh everything and don't try to run before you can walk just take it one step at a time.
    You will have bad days so don't beat yourself up when you do remember this is a lifestyle change and takes time.
    As for people's Journals it all depends if they have them open or not some (like mine) are set on public so anyone can look others are only open to friends others are shut to everyone.

    The best tip I can give you is be very clear on your "why." In other words, ask yourself why you want to get healthy, why that is a priority, why it matters to you. Answering those questions has really kept me motivated. Good luck to you on your journey
