Hi there, I have been working on a final project all day though I had planned to exercise with Zumba or Interval Training at the gym. I couldn't go before because this project is due tonight, and I can't go now because there have been reports of shots fired on campus and I am definitely not going out and risking anything. I sadly went over my calorie goal by 163 today and was thinking of doing an hour of yoga in my room at least. My question is would that actually be beneficial or do anything? I never use yoga as an actual workout, just on active rest days, so I'm wondering if I should even bother?

I love yoga for so many reasons, just do it! 163 calories? Sounds good to me

If the yoga will make you feel good do it.
But just because you ate an extra 160 cals? I wouldn't do it only for that reason. Even a small deficit is usually 250 cals/day so you are still under maintenance. I wouldn't be worrying about cals at this point - do what makes you feel good.

You can do yoga if you'd like. Sounds like you might need the stress relief. But don't do it because of the 163 calories, just let that go.
