With your candy were you a greedy goblin or a disciplined devil?

Given the chance, I couldn't stop .. until I had a tummy ache.

I ate the good ones. I left the nasty ones under my bed where I would find them come the next July when I was finally forced to clean my room.

    I ate til I couldn't.

Then as I got a little older, I portioned it out.

My brothers were monster makers, and used to go all out decorating, so my parents got swamped with trick or treaters. A lot of times, after I came home, they had to raid my candy bag to give out to other kids. They always bought more the next day half price, though, so I didn't mind.

Halloween was more about costumes than candy for me. We always had goodies around the house, year 'round. Up until the day he died, you could go to my Dad's house and find a bag of fun sized candy bars in the cupboard.

We needed it as fuel!!!! I grew up in north-nowhere-mountain-country so we ate the candy but worked it all off since there was a good mile hike in between houses.

I had 2 brothers, so we traded each other's candy..
somehow I always found my way back into their stash.

"what candy bars? you must have eatin them, I didn't take them" was my classic response
