I'm having knee surgery and its my wake up call. Gained over 100 lbs in the last 9 years and need to get back to the healthy me. Husband is a healthy eater so I have his support. Its me takeout and night time eating.

Get motivated. Start doing some easy exercise to get in the mood. Cut out some bad foods like reduce the oily foods. Not because they are bad, but they are not a good fuel. Instead try and get to eat fruits and vegetables. If you want to eat a chocolate, eat it but not that much. Don't loose hope, you can get there. DOn't starve yourself, it is bad for your body

Your biggest supporter has got to be yourself :) It really comes from the inside, and everyone else is your cheerleader! My dad needed knee surgery, and my mom does (both knees for both of them) and I know I will one day too, I got OA in my hips and knees at age 29 :( so I'm with ya, it's scary, but you know what to do: that weight WILL come off, maybe not quickly, or easily, but it will. Don't starve yourself, don't overtax your joints, have direction from medical professionals, and you will be much healthier and happier in no time.

I recommend working towards breaking the habit of picking up fast food by deliberately choosing driving routes that merit more difficult.
