Hi I thought I would introduce myself ,I'm Aaron and next year for my 40th I have decided to ride the santini stelvio ride as it is a challenge that really excites me personally. I'm in the lucky position of not having to loose weight and I also have a fairly reasonable level of fitness. Yet this goal is far tougher than any ride I've done in the past and there is a lot of training to do on the bike building my engine up to be efficient having a strong core and also getting the nutrion side correct. I roughly know the correct things to do and how to train and push myself to being a heap. Yet their is always something new to learn or take inspiration from. In the past I used to race nothing to talk about put was fun. It was also a big commitment training wise basically like having a second job. Then I took time out to do other things that I wanted to do that I never had time for. When I was racing I weighed 68kg at times I got lighter but in truth it wasn't healthy . Then when I stopped I did reach around 74kg so nothing drastic. This year I entered a few sportive to aim for and to train towards at the same time I also set a goal of getting my weight back to 68 properly because it was what I weighed when I was in peak fitness. I reached it simply by cutting down on treats like chocolate and increasing my work load . So now I'm working towards next year's goal and have everything in place as I want to give myself the best chance I have and when I turn up to do the event and I ask myself have I done everything to prepare for it. I can say to myself I've given everything 100% plus an extra 25%. People are more than welcome to follow the my journey
