Counting Steps with Iphone?

Anyone know if the included app on iphone is accurate for counting steps?

    it seems pretty accurate matches my gps watch pretty closely over my morning run. However if I used it as my pedometer I would have to remember not to leave it laying around out of my pocket.

    Agreed. And yes, leaving it laying around is a constant habit of mine, especially when I'm at home.
