Unloggable Foods

Hey all,

So what do you do when you eat something that you cannot find an equivalent to in the database and you don't know the nutrition info yourself? I.e. I love Thai food, and occasionally get pad Thai from a local restaurant. I do not know the nutrition info off the top of my head but the ones in the database have quite a large range of values.

In my past attempts to diet I've just ignored the foods or not logged for the rest of the day, but I know this isn't an optimal answer because it throws off my day, my week and makes it easier for me to excuse not dieting.

Hoping someone out there has a solution!

either pick the highest to be safe, guestimate or just don't worry. unless you eat things like that all the time that you can't log, it shouldn't be an issue if you're off a little

Agree! I'm always tempted to do the lowest, but it's better to do the highest. I have to do this with my Thai food. I love this Pho soup they have and all I can ever find is Vietnamese Pho. If you can get the ingredients it's best. I tried this with the Thai lady who cooks at my favorite Thai restaurant and she said "No. No recipe. But it's healthy." So I guess there's that.
