Lost Weight Yet Calorie Budget Remains The Same

I had a fantastic first week on My Fitness Pal. I logged all my food, even on days I went over (had to be honest ;) )and exercised 5 days in a row which is more than I have ever done. With all that I lost 6lbs this week, which is great. The thing that does concern me is that even after losing 6 pounds my calorie budget stayed the same for week two. Shouldn't my budget go down as my weight does? Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated o:)

MFP doesn't automatically change your calorie goal when you lose, you have to go in and do it yourself

It will not adjust every time you lose weight. While it does take fewer calories to maintain your new weight, it's not that big of a difference. Try putting your numbers through a calculator like the one below to see what I mean. Adjusting every single week would be overboard.

    Good work so far!

MFP adjusts my calorie goals when I do a check in. But I think it only does it every 10 pounds. I have never done it manually and I am at 100 calories /day less than when I started.
