I assume eating justifies procrastination. I promise to my self i will do my work after finishing my snack, or meal, or coffee, or sweet. And i think that a full stomach fights stress and will give me strenght. Instead it gives me more stress and more weight, more fat. Then, i am guilty. Therefore i am in a totally unhealthy state both mentally and physically. And i am sad. And I am still working on my assigment which dues tomorrow...

Oh I have done this so many many times with school stuff. Studying made my brain crave snacks like crazy. Maybe get a serious protein meal in before and then have plenty of low calorie or no calorie drinks on hand and gum or cut up vegetables. Like an arsenal of study snacks that kick the butt out of school stress. One of my faves was a huge herb tea like kava kava which is incredible for focus and calming qualities. A little milk and stevia and voila! It's like Valium without the scripts Hahahah! Lavender mint is good too......

Don't beat yourself up, you are doing great with studying! School is mega stress and everyone study munches!

You got this now type like the wind! Peace!

I find doing the exact opposite works for me.

For example, I don't eat breakfast until after the gym in the mornings. I might have a snack to fuel my workout beforehand, but I don't eat breakfast until I am done. Works wonders.

If I were you I would allow myself a light snack (say 100-200 calories) before starting my assignment and then that would be it until after said assignment was done.

I used to put off things I enjoyed in college until after I finished my assignments. Like if there was a show I wanted to watch on Netflix or if I wanted to go shopping I couldn't until I had finished my assignment. I also would remind myself that proscrastinating was only putting off my free time.
