Myfitnesspal gift cards? What?

I saw an article on pennyhoarder saying you can earn points to redeem them for gift cards through myfitnesspal. I've never seen that on here. I wasn't even aware you get points for meeting your goals on here. Is that true?

    I reread the article and I guess it says you have to use another app and link that app to your fitness app to earn points. The article was made 6 months ago, but I browsed through it half asleep this morning.
