What are your favorite groceries?

I was perusing the forums in search of some grocery recommendations and didn't find what I was looking for. I've been trying to eat better since about February and there's still a few things I'm interested in, but haven't tried. I'd like to try almond milk, organic (or a more natural) peanut butter, oats (for oatmeal and baking), and greek yogurt without all the chemicals. Are there any brand names you'd recommend? Thanks in advance!

Edited for spelling correction.

I love almond milk and I like the Silk and Blue Diamond brands. I eat oatmeal for breakfast on a regular basis and have found that the brand doesn't matte, but they style of oat does (steel cut, old fashioned, or instant.)

I don't eat yogurt anymore but, when I did, I looooved the Greek Gods brand.

As for peanut butter or other nut butters, if there are any "health food" stores near you, like a whole foods, I know that a lot of them have their own nut grinders to make your own peanut butter. You should know that it might taste different, though, because most peanut butters have sugar in them, so it won't taste as sweet unless you sweeten it yourself with sugar or honey or something. Also, the salt content might be higher or lower depending on how much you put in or not.

If you like hummus or want to try it, Sabra is by far my favorite brand and is so much better for dipping raw veggies than ranch or other highly-processed dips. Homemade salsa and/or guacamole are also surprisingly amazing for dipping veggies.

Most of my groceries are raw fruits and vegetables, though, and I try to buy them non-bagged because they are typically priced better and you can be choosey about the individual produce item, rather than getting "stuck" with a bag that might have some bad ones in it.

Thank you!! I found an all-natural salsa that I adore (the nutritional facts are exceptional and I can identify/pronounce all the ingredients). I'll definitely check out the other stuff, thank you!

Almond milk is really easy to make yourself and much more cost effective. Also, you won't get all the processed additives and junk that are in the prepackaged almond milks. As an alternative to peanut butter, you might want to try almond butter or sunflower butter - both are much healthier options. Wholly Guacamole is a great guacamole, made responsibly and you can get a 3 pack at Costco/Sams for $8.99. For salsa, you can't go wrong with a pico de gallo in the cold section of your supermarket. I haven't found one yet with any additives. I don't eat dairy as it's all processed so can't help you there. I don't do oats anymore either but plain old fashioned Quaker Oats (not the 1-minute quick oats) in the tub are good.
