So I am graduating from University in a couple of weeks. I am going backpacking in Costa Rica for a 6 weeks beginning in January. I won't have regular access to MFP for logging or my food scale. I was thinking about taking a tape measure with me so I can track and make sure I am not gaining in that way. Is that an okay alternative? Or is there something else I should do?
Thanks!

Just try to make the healthiest choices you can while you're there. You should know which foods make you gain weight and which don't - so try to choose wisely. Hopefully you'll be getting a lot of exercise which will allow you more leeway, but mostly just enjoy your trip and worry about whether you've gained weight afterwards.

Costa Rica us beautiful, enjoy! Especially the Linzano hot sauce found at all the restaurants, it's delicious.
Don't stress about the calories, make good choices and stay active, you'll do fine.

Enjoy your trip. Do lots of active things. Eat the delicious local food. Give yourself a little break. Don't go crazy but don't miss out because you want to be strict with your diet.

You'll have access to lots of great fruits and veggies, and black beans. And if you're near the coasts, fish. Avoid the plantains and enjoy yourself!
