I'm having trouble with my balance, does anyone else have that problem?

Not me. I suggest mentioning it to your doctor, because poor balance can be from neurological issues or other medical causes. Once you have ruled that out, there are exercises you can do to improve your balance. :+1:

I'm with Cherrimoose, talk to your doctor.

A rapid change in weight may mean you have to realign your centre of gravity a bit, and menopause can make one a little clumsier or uncoordinated for a while, but a chat with your doctor will be the best thing to do as balance can be thrown off by so many things.

    Cheers, h.

Definitely talk to your doctor. Once you have cleared it with him/her, you may get a referral to a physical therapist who could help you with the issue. I recently went through a round of PT and part of it involved working on balance issues. The exercises were amazingly simple but really helped.

It's pretty typical as we age. That's why it's important to include a balance component in your exercise program. I'm not clear if you mean you have trouble walking across the room (see your doctor) or doing a one leg deadlift (normal).

I do because of medical reasons. I suggest talking with your DR to rule any medical reasons out and then ask about exercises to help improve your balance. A physical therapist helped me some but I'm still a little off balance at times

Agreed. I'm fit and flexible, but I have really noticed a deterioration in my balance over the past few years. I'm 52 and do the bendiest or toughest poses in yoga - but I'm just garbage at the simplest move on one foot. Regular yoga did help. Now that I think about it, I should do it more often.

But yes - get a medical check up: inner ear issues, neuropathy, and other pathologies should be ruled out. (I'll mention my balance to my physician, too.)
