Succesful first week!

First week done! Lost 1.6 kg ( or 3.5 lbs) in total. Bit disappointed that I didn't lose a little more. I weigh the same today as I did yesterday, but I also think my scale might need new batteries as it takes two or three tries before it gives me a normal result. Like this morning it started by telling me I had gained over 7 lbs, at the second try it added another 2 and at the third I suddenly lost 12, only at the fourth did I weigh in at my weight from yesterday. ( I weighed three more times to be sure this was the right one and it kept giving the same number so I'm reasonably sure. Still, that thing is getting new batteries!)
I'm pretty happy overall, I made my weekly goal of losing 1 kg, my running is getting easier again and I'm enjoying it more.
It would be absolutely amazing if I could lose 2 more kg by next week, because then I will have reached my first minigoal of getting to 75 kg! But I do realise that is a pretty big loss, so it might not happen.
I get to reward myself by buying myself a little something when I reach it, for now I think it's going to be an earband of nice soft fleece.
When I reach 70kg I think it will be the matching running vest to my new winterleggings. 65 I don't know yet, but 60 will probably be new running shoes, they do need replacing and I have wanted to get a run analysis done for ages to get the right shoe, but it's costly so I've been putting it off. I think it will be a nice reward for reaching my initial goal weight of 60 kg to buy myself some new fancy runningshoes!
On to week two!

Wow, you set yourself pretty high goals, but I love that you already have some nice rewards in mind for your goals! WTG!0

Haha thank you!
I can't wait to lose the weight and get my rewards, it's a great motivator for me.
I do set high goals for myself, but I also try to stay realistic. Otherwise I'm just setting myself up for failure.
Like with my first minigoal I'm like it would be great if i managed to lose the weight and reach it, but I also know that I might not and that's okay too. It'll just take me a few more days to get there.
I haven't really set a timeline, like I wanna lose this much by that time. I'm taking it more on a day by day basis. I do weigh myself everyday at about the same time. I want to see weightloss ideally every time I get on the scale, but every two days is also okay. The amount doesn't matter, of course I'm happier if it's 400gr than if it's 100gr, but the point is that I'm losing and as long as that happens I'm happy
In the past I'd be prone to giving up if I didn't see quick results not realising that even tiny progress is still progress. Now I just keep my little mantra in the back of my head: Don't be discouraged if you hit a wall, progress is progress no matter how small.0 -
I agree, progress is progress - and being on the journey to better health already a success, so it does not really matter how long it takes, as long as we keep going0
