you're taking this way too personally... no one attacked you.

    That would have been ideal.

But like @bellaa_x0 said you are taking it too personally. Not that serious IMO

hmmm, many of those foods wouldn't be considered "low carb" by many standards. You say you make them "fit" your macros, and I believe you. Portion size is everything, I guess. Dried fruit, for example. Not really low carb. Pineapple... many of those fruits, the fruit leather (!)...sushi rolls. I know you don't claim that they all are low carb, but as organized, I guess it's: Eater beware.

I agree. This is not a low carb list but it may be low calorie.

I just deleted all of the restaurant meals and prepackaged meals. As a celiac, I can't eat them so I have no idea how low carb they are. As a general rule though, a prepackeged meal is generally higher in carbs than I would eat, excluding prepackaged meats like a pepperoni stick, burger patties and such.

Plus, as a Canadian, I haven't heard of most of those products.

I have recently lost 101.8lbs. I've been doing 1,050-1,150 calories per day, and total carbs at 60-89g max. I also don't eat red meat, and tend to lean toward vegetarian foods. This is technically the fourth time I've gotten to this weight, but I believe this time will be the end. I've been doing this since January 2015, so it's about to be 2 years of healthy eating, which is a record for me. Since high school (2008), I've been keeping a list of healthy low carb or low calorie foods I've utilized in my diet.

that is extremely low and unnecessary... you really shouldn't be eating below 1200 calories/day.

Actually, yes it is, I used to suffer from eating disorders and eat 300-800 a day for years, so my metabolism is shot. It is the only way I've lost, and obviously it worked as I am now only 5lbs overweight, when I was 107lbs overweight when I started. And, when I maintain, it only works at 1400-1600, which I have successfully done 3 months. Everybody has different metabolisms. My doctors have confirmed that it is not too low for my metabolism.

The point of my post wasn't to have people critique me, as I've been extremely successful on my own. It was to help others by providing foods I've found helpful in my weight loss journey. That is it.

I am the same way. I try to stay between 1000-1150/day because it's the only way I lose.

A lot of people focus on calories but I also have to focus on macros -- like you, lower carb.

Every body is different - it's definitely a matter of finding what works for you. Thanks for the list :)

A significant amount of the prepackaged foods you crossed off are literally made to be low carb, that is the point of the company lol. I understand you can't eat it from celiac, but don't mislead others. For example, Real Good Pizza has 4 carbs for the whole pizza (its literally just made of chicken, cheese, and tomato sauce). Also, they're very small companies just selling what they bake, I wouldn't exactly call them prepackaged. FYI - they're not available in stores, so it has nothing to do with being Canadian - its all online stuff. I just found it all from instagram and lots of research over the years. The brownies/cakes are also low carb. One smartcake has 9g carbs. Protings have 7g of carbs a serving - literally nobody who is not low carb would have a desire to spend the money on this stuff. And if you do net carbs (which i don't - i do total), then most of this stuff is even lower.

If you would like me to make a list of everything 15g carbs or less a serving, I can provide an edited version.

Apologies if I was wrong on some of the packaged foods. As I said, don't know all the brands. If it said "lite" then it is something most very low carbers would skip. Same goes for bread and crackers/crisps, although I suppose some "higher" low carbers might eat them (sometimes).

The Real Good pizza sounds low carb. No crust even? Many will make their own by melting cheese onto parchment and then adding tomato sauce, toppings and maybe more cheese.

The brownies and cakes don't seem that low carb to me but I eat very low carb. They would be almost half to a third of my carbs for a day. I missed the sugar cookie. It really has low carbs? (Like less than 20% of calories from carbs?)

Low carb is considered to be between zero and 100g, or up to 150g of carbs per day, with most saying LCHF stops at 100g per day. If you are at the upper end, those foods would work, although technically all foods will work as long as you keep the serving size very small. I had two hershey kisses candies yesterday and still ate under 30g of carbs for the day. It fit my macros.

I didn't mean to offend. I am sure your list took a lot of time to put together. Apologies.

I guess it's important to distinguish low carb foods from low carb eaters. The OP says she's low carb, and names her number, while many wouldn't be foods *I* would choose if I were on a low carb diet, she says they work for her. I just worry that the average new user would see the list and think fruit leather is (generally considered) low carb.

    cheers
