Food add help???

So I have lost track and took off this app and just recently woke up and decided I can't quit this time so I re downloaded this app. The problem is now I use to be able to search for a banana or a food and it will show me a list of options but now it only searches the food I had recently added only...i miss that I can look through the list of option am i missing something here?

    With my app, a magnifying glass (search icon) appears in place of my enter key on the keypad when I'm typing into the search box. It's no longer on the MFP app screen. I'd show you a screen shot, but unfortunately I can't post pictures from the app and I'm not near my laptop at the moment.

    This might be a dumb question but I've done this before ...do you have an internet connection? Thats the only time it only brings up my own list on my phone.
