clarification to pissed off readers/rant

Recently I commented on a post about clean eating and apparently a few of the users here were having a very bad day because I was bashed every which way for stating my thoughts toward my family when they would repeatedly refuse to accommodate my eating habits at family gatherings.
My thought was: fine then, I don't care what you think, I'll bring my own food because I'm being good to my body and you're not. Is it mean to think that way? Yep.
Does it make me a horrible person for being pissed? Nope.
Before you stop reading and call me every name in the book, realize that I also posted - that because of my clean(er) eating habits, my family would make jabs and casually drop a few not-so-subtle hints about what they think of my eating habits. (WHY is this such a big deal anyway?!)
I would never actually say those words to my family (or anyone else for that matter), but these are my initial (angry) thoughts when they start throwing jabs about my eating style versus theirs. Yes it's mean, but it's my thought in that personal situation.
Some users assumed I was talking about the users here with that thought but I want to clarify that it was not directed at them, any of the posters in that topic or anyone here.
Seriously, I was here a year ago and people were so much nicer :frown:
