I understanding nutrition is important just for your overall health but will I still lose weight if I'm not hitting the goals because it is very hard to hit all the goals just right. It also says my carbohydrates was supposed to be 50% and my protein 20 and fat 30. why is it saying I'm 55 carbohydrates but I still have a lot of more carbohydrates left for today?

Because the 55 is grams, not percent. I assume. I did not check your diary, as it isn't viewable.0

Nutrition is much more than the carb/fat/protein ratios. There are all the vitamins and minerals which need to be considered, when you are looking at it from a nutritional focus. That being said, nutrition and weight loss are completely separate. As has been said in numerous threads of yours, you can consume whatever you like in a calorie deficit and still lose weight. That doesn't speak to nutrition/health, or even satiety for that matter, at all.0

Calories are king for weight loss.
Macro goals (carbs/fat/protein) can help with health, energy levels, mood, satiety, and other things. But it's important to keep in mind that MFP's default goals for this are just one possible suggestion. They're a guideline, not a rule. You can eat in a lot of different macro splits and still be healthy and happy. It's okay to eat in a different way if it works better for you.2 -

Yes you will lose weight if you have MFP set up correctly and are hitting the calorie goals.
You can look at my diary (I think), but here's the scoop based on mine.
I set protein to 25%, fat to 30% and carbs to 45%. Based on my weight, activity and desired loss, my calories are at 1,720 (before any exercise). So, my calorie breakdown is protein 430cals (108 grams), fat 516 cals (57 grams) and carbs 774 cals (194 grams). Protein and Carbs are 4 cal/gram and fat is 9 cal/gram. Now when exercise gets added, all the numbers go up but I am just aiming for 100g of protein and letting the rest fall where they may. For now this is working for me, but I have a lot to lose and I know I may have to tighten it up as I get closer to my goal weight.1 -

That was my first thought, too, but another possibility is that the 55 is percent of calories consumed so far that are carbs, assuming the OP hasn't eaten all her calories for the day yet.
I also have not checked OP's diary.0 -

As stated above, you don't need to be exact.
Are you talking about the pie chart on the app? That shows so far today.
For example, the first thing you eat might be made of 75% carbs (and so your pie chart would show 75% carbs) but you still had a lot of carbs left to eat for the day. As you ate more later, you would aim to get more fat and protein as a percentage of what you are eating in order to bring your overall carb percentage in line with where you'd like your overall macro balance to end for the day.0 -
Calorie deficit for weight loss.
