Seeing as how most of the spring clips at my gym don't clamp down on the bar very well, I ordered some Greenten locking collars. Pink, of course - to match my gym bag, MP3 player, and earbuds. Much better, now.1

i bought a thing they called 'whole eye of round' from the grocery store. i'm not sure what part of a cow it is, but if that's what 10 pounds of muscle looks like, then wow. no wonder they tell you to be realistic in what you expect.
it's not exercise related exactly, but i'm genuinely excited about it. never owned so much beef all at once - but i've never before had a life where owning that much beef seemed like a solid idea. i got so giddy i went back for another one and put in a whole day salting and curing it so i can make jerky with it.
i feel rich.6 -
A very wide silver ring for my ring finger since my wedding ring hasn't fit for about 30 lbs.....2

It's not in stock yet, but I've got this old book on order. It shows the portion sizes that we (UK) used to eat, so it will be interesting to compare it with portion sizes nowadays.

I tried to get Diva to wear bootees but she hated them (she's fine with me dressing her up usually, see her Christmas party outfit on my avatar!). I use Mushers Secret Paw Wax on her now, to protect her pads from snow/ice/salt/grit.
For non-fitness related excitement: I've spent the past week talking to my Amazon Echo and getting Alexa to change the colour of my Philips Hue bulbs. It's like a disco in here every night ;-)2 -
