I've been using MyFitnessPal for quite a while now, recently went premium (and will stay that way) and decided to join the forums. I run, lift weights, do cardio, ride skateboards and play airsoft (a combat sport like paintball). Despite all that I'm about 20-25 lbs overweight and wanting to lose that and gain lean muscle.

I use MyFitnessPal as a sort of hub app to connect lots of other apps. I use MapMyRun for lots of activities and for interval training, Garmin Connect with my Vivoactive HR (highly recommended) and others. I log my weight and I've logged food off and on. Recently I decided to adjust my diet to a mass builder composition (40% protein, 45% carbs, 15% fat). That is not at all easy to do... getting enough protein requires a whole lot of supplements, and without MyFitnessPal I have no idea how I'd keep track of them all.

I use MFP the same way (to connect apps). Welcome to the community!

This week, I am on 35% protein, 10% carbs, and the remainder is fat. My trainer and I set macros by grams, so it isn't really a percent. I feel you on the protein supplements, I get a lot of shakes, steaks, and other meats in. Cutting carbs, was one of the harder things I had to do, as I love my breads, pastas, and pizzas.

Good luck, and you have my help, if needed.
