Travel Advice

I'm heading out travelling for 6 weeks to Central America. I'm doing a combination of backpacking and volunteering. I won't really have access to a scale or internet daily to log. I was thinking about taking a tape measure to watch my measurements while I'm gone. Are there any other ideas? I would like to keep losing while I'm gone, but maintaining would be fine as well. Any advice appreciated!

Since you'll be backpacking, it sounds like your activity level will increase a bit. As such, I wouldn't worry about it at all. If anything, just don't eat everything in site and I'd think you'd probably be fine.

You're going to be very active. Enjoy your trip. Eat the local food. Don't ruin your trip by being overly restrictive.

How well do you do eyeing portion sizes? If you're weighing and measuring now practice serving what you think is a proper potion and number of calories and then measure to see how close you are. That way you'll be better at gauging portions while you're gone.

Other than that, enjoy! Sounds like a fantastic experience and you'll be active most of the time.
