Hi, I'm currently doing C25K with the aim of building up my fitness and core strength so I can take up climbing. My goal is to be fit enough and strong enough to climb Snowden next summer, and maybe knock off a few Monroes in Summer 2018 - perhaps even Ben Nevis. (One of my daughters has suggested Kilimanjaro too - I'll admit there's a part of me that kind of likes the idea of doing the Seven Summits but I think I'll settle for British mountains for now!)
I'll be 44 at the end of this month, I'm a mother of 3 girls (ages 24, 22 and 9) and a grandmother of one boy as of Sunday night! I'm 5' 5" and currently at 74kg. It would be nice to shift some of that weight, but what I'm really looking to do is to convert fat to muscle so I'm less fussed about the weightloss aspect - more into this to get fit and healthy again and build up my strength. I figure that after 3 kids I'm probably not going to get back into a pair of size 8 jeans again - but a 10-12 would be nice. ;-)
