This is a cool thread. I am back from a foot stress fracture and double knee injuries. I have dropped my mile time from 10:30/mi to 6:15/mi over a 5k. In regards to running everyday, you need to build up to that or you will get injured. Good luck, have fun!1

The programme has you running every other day, that allows you to develop your capacity and avoid overuse injury, whilst allowing you time to cross train. When I was doing C5K I tended to swim on off days, as I was travelling a lot and most hotels have swimming pools. I would also cycle when there was the opportunity, or do a bodyweight resistance session. Each of those have benefits for running training, and vice versa.
