Need some motivation!

Basically I try to go to the gym the very minimum 3 days a week for at least 30 mins. Usually it's around 5 for around 45-an hour. Today I had no motivation but I made my pre workout drink and went anyway. Usually once I get started I'm good but today I just couldn't get in my grove so I gave up after 20 mins. I'm disappointed bc I KNOW I could've pushed another 10 mins but I just couldn't do it. Someone please tell me it's okay to slack every once in a while...at least I went right?

Of course it's OK! But, it depends on you!
For me, that is a slippery slope of skipping the odd session, then a few more... then I'll be starting from scratch again so I'll leave it a while... and then another 6 months has passed.
If you're the type that just isn't feeling it on that day, but you'll be back to it next time, it'll be fine. We all have off days for whatever reason.

What could you do to get motivated? Do you have a plan you're following?
One thing I do see often (and I've only just dragged my *kitten* back to the gym after a long time away) is people wandering around half-heatedly trying different things, that must get demotivating. Or, it would for me, anyway.

I'm the last person to give advice on keeping up your gym visits... but try and assess why you can't get going, is it just you're feeling a bit off? you've gone too hard and burned out? or something else?
If you can work out why, you'll be better placed to find a solution.

    Good luck!

I've been slacking all week. I hit a burnout point that I couldn't get past, started reading up on it and discovered "deloading" and I've taken it and run with it. Today is my forth day, and I've had plenty of rest and a couple of fantastic workouts, taking it nice and light. Another couple of days and I'll get back to my regular routine, but for now I've found the miracle lol of giving my body ample time to rest and recover.

You guys are the best seriously!! I just feel lazy some days and I get afraid of it bc that's usually when I justify not going more often than going and before I know it I'm miserable again, starting from scratch and 15lbs heavier. Seeing another perspective is very nice!

I got you beat. I'm lazy every day lol. It's a conscious decision to move and do what I need to. It's changing though, and so far so worth it. :)
