They aren't my style, but I know there are people who swear by Dansko clogs. They get a lot of love among the women who post on a "mom" forum I visit. They are definitely comfortable and practical rather than fashionable...so if the recipient is more into function rather than form, she might appreciate them.

I would wear the shoes in the OP for every day but not going out for a special dinner shoes.
I like the other shoes posted in this thread too. Lots of great choices.0
