Quick training question..as a 'newbie' I'm making reasonable gains and spending time working on my form... (initially I wasn't too bothered about 'which' muscle grew; just so long as a muscle was growing) meaning technique often took a back step ...however I've noticed on my bicep curl i'm pulling my elbow forward; (too heavy weight I now know) which is bringing my shoulder/delts into play; which got me thinking; is this a good strategy for training shoulders/delts, while still working the bicep ...??

I think you'd be better off using proper form on the biceps curl and training your shoulders either separately or in another compound movement like a bench press where the front delt has to be used as part of the technique of pressing the barbell up. The more your shoulder gets involved in a curl, the less your bicep is doing to complete the lift.5
