Does your body reject food?

Yesterday I went to the beach with a friend and swam laps. About three hours later we decided to order a pizza. I haven't had greasy or unhealthy food in almost two months and I wanted to treat myself so I had three slices for dinner. About 4 hours after I ate I did 20 minutes of Turbo Jam (cardio) Then I went to bed. I woke up extremely nauseous at 3 am and ended up throwing up. My stomach hurts a little bit this morning, other than that I feel fine so I know it isn't the flu. Was my body rejecting the greasy food? There wasn't anything wrong with the pizza or the other food I ate that day because my friend had the same thing and she didn't get sick at all. What happened?

    The short answer: yes.

After months of eating clean, I can tell a huge difference in my digestion when I eat greasy food. I've never thrown it up as you have, but I find it either too hard or too easy to go to the bathroom, depending on what type of crappy food I ate (sorry, a little graphic).

You should think of this as a small win, though. Your brain has always known greasy unhealthy food is bad to eat, and now after eating clean for long enough, your body recognizes that, too! Well done :)

Reject outright? Not usually, but sometimes food, especially oily food will not sit well. I feel like I will be sick and sometimes bring a little of my tummy contents up (not like a full blown puke). I do not "eat clean" as such - just try to choose good foods for my body

I find my body tends to have the most trouble with oily foods, even more so if I've drunken a lot of water before or afterwards. Also sometimes with potatoes (chips and crisps) - I find a cup of milk helps. Also if your tummy feels very acidic afterwards plain yogurt and bran type cereals help to soak up the extra acidity
