So there is a workout swimming around the internet that states if you do this workout, you will burn 100 cal;
40 jumping jacks
30 crunches
20 squats
10 push-ups
Now is this fact or fiction?
What are your thoughts?
Do you know of any quick workouts to get that 100 cal out of the way?
40 jumping jacks

10 push-ups

If MFP thinks I burn about that many calories just walking around (via my iPhone steps), I'd buy the idea.1

What is that 5-10 minutes of working out at the most? No way would I log 100 calories for that.2

Why not just skip rope at a decent intensity for 10 minutes and burn 140 calories?2

It's fiction. The only movement that elicits any real calorie burn is the jumping jacks and you do that for less than a minute. The other movements would only average about 5 Cals/min
As the other guy said, the quickest workout would be something like jumping rope for 10 min or trying to run 1.5 miles.1 -
If you did several rounds of that you could burn 100 calories. But not with one round.1

It honestly depends on the body of the person doing it. I have clients who could easily burn 100 calories doing that due to their higher weight.1

That's what I was thinking might be it, as well0 -
I was just curious. Because I know the popular belief is one jumping jack is one calorie, I think that's where the person who made it got their info from.
I don't believe it, I was just wondering what others would think, as well.0 -
Sounds like a Pinterest fail0
