If I do a weight lifting class for an hour how do I log this on fitness pal app?

If you want a calorie burn guesstimate - log it as strength training under the cardiovascular section. Weight lifting has so many factors....super hard to get a good estimate.

Call it 150 and move on. Reevaluate once you have been consistent for a while. There is not an economical way to determine calories burned through strength training other than trial and error. It is generally not many though.

And there will probably be some people that will come in and say "use a HRM". Please know, they are wrong.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or a snack. Or nothing at all.
Nothing special required apart from having an overall "healthy diet" in appropriate quantities.

Doesn't matter too much. Just eat like normal. Get enough protein and time your foods to keep you energized. The rest is minutia. You got this!

I'm voting along with the others. I tried the advice from various sites for 6 months on when, what, how much to eat drink, before or after and never really saw any difference.
