If there's not much snow, you can still walk outside with proper clothes. If there's a lot, you can ski or snowshoe.

Do you have access to a gym? Can you go to a mall to walk when the weather is really bad? At home, you could do Leslie Sansom videos, which are low impact aerobic and don't take a lot of room.

Layers, wool socks, and good shoes. If I absolutely have to stay indoors, like 70 mph winds that could drop a tree on my head, I have a mini-trampoline that is fun. I can either run or jump on it.

    Check out ...
    FemaleFitBody.com
Hello Healthy BLOG here on MFP for exercises ... they have loads of advise and explanations of exercises that can be done at home

Take a look at the jpg's that show exercise moves you do indoors.

Also ... these don't take any more room than what your body standing or laying down would ...
    Push Up, Lunge, Squat, Plank
Add some weight via filled water bottles or a set of dumbbells and you an do ..
Biceps curl, Lateral raise, Triceps kickbacks, Bent row, Wall Squat, Overhead press
And to give yourself a third workout, if you have such items as bands and an exercise ball you can work on your sense of balance ....
Stability ball push-up, Banded side step, Lunge with overhead extension, Lat pulldown

Then of course, a little bit of browsing on YouTube will provide gads of different things you can do and try ...
to me, they mostly fall into the category of calisthenics and yoga (think Pilates and stretch)
    Good luck.

PS ... then, for outdoors ... walking, snow-shoeing, skiing, ice skating, snow shoveling, tree cutting, log splitting (hee hee, had to throw that one in:) )

Walking style workouts take very little space. A couple options to check out on YouTube is JessicaSmithTV and Leslie Sansone Walk at Home. Use these free videos to "test drive." Some are also available on DVD - check your local library.

Another option is mat style workouts. If it can be done on a mat, it doesn't require much space. Fitness Blender is very popular. Look for Pilates, yoga, and strength training.
