Women and self-image

Ok, I saw this a couple days ago and though it is humor, it well fits many women I know. Women are too hard on themselves, and it can be a vicious circle. I thought about posting this in grins and giggles, cuz it is a comedy clip, but the underlying message is too important.

    That was actually really funny, though a bit stereotyping :P
    I've been forcing myself to not only accept compliments, but aknowledge them... Self image issues aren't just "oh, I think I'm fat when I see myself in the mirror". I actually unnoticedly bought large size running shorts this week at the mall, thinking it would still be a little tight but I'd run enough to make it fit. When I got home and tried it on, it was HUGE. Wouldn't stop at my hips.

    So it's pretty crazy, it's as if our minds are so twisted about how we should look that we don't pay attention to the fact we already look and are pretty damn great :indifferent:
