Sooooo, I just want to know who else has been procrastinating. I feel like it's just me and I just never wanted to face the truth. Truth is I do have an excuse for everything and now it's time for me to really stop. How does everyone stay motivated? What keeps you going? If you do slack, how do you ignore that feeling or get back on track?

First- your username won me over- please add me as a friend and fellow Disney lover.
I have been slacking off and on since my last child was born in April 2015. I seem to gain weight without even thinking about it and can't get the excess off. Of course my diet sucks and I hardly ever have energy to go to the gym. bad diet = no energy
I am seriously trying to get back into at the worst time of year. I do good here and there and then BAM! I gained 5 lbs.
Have a fantasmic day!

You could continue making excuses.......
You can't sit and watch Netflix because you have to get your daily work out in.
You can't eat that low nutrition calorie bomb because a high nutrition lower calorie bomb will help get you to your goal.
There are lots of ways you can make your excuses work for you.
Look at what you want out of life and work towards that.

This time around I have had the motto "no excuses". I started the year in January 2016 at 378 Lbs. So far I have lost 153 Lbs and have 110 left to lose. I found that all of the excuses I had before don't seem to apply anymore. Trust me I had every excuse in the books including I'm too fat and too old to lose this weight, the classics were, I'll start my diet on Monday or after the holidays or simply tomorrow. Like Scarlet O'Hara I forgot all about it by tomorrow which was the point.
I will be 50 in a couple of weeks and I feel much better than I did a year ago. When I first started exercising again in about March of 2016 at first when I would wake up to exercise I would ask myself "Do you feel like exercising?" Not surprising, the answer was always no. So my answer to that problem was I stopped asking myself and just did it. I haven't missed a day of exercise since. I do at least a little exercising every day. No matter what we are doing in the day, I make sure I get my base exercise first. I drive my family nuts because I'm so anal about that. (To be completely honest, I fear that if I ever stop I won't exercise again. Stupid but true!) I even made sure to do my exercise when I was sick in bed with the flu. When I'm sore exercise makes me feel better in body and spirit.
There are days when I eat things I don't want to eat but I know tomorrow is another day and try really not to beat up myself up those days. They happened move on. In the past, that was where I would say screw this diet and eat a whole extra large pizza by myself and top it off with chips and ice cream. I'm not proud of my past behavior but I think I have learned from my mistakes. Just to put things in perspective, I was so fat that I could hardly get myself out of bed to walk to the bathroom and I was starting to be afraid that I was going to get stuck in the bathtub.
Just do it - do let the excuses rule your life. If I can do this, I promise, anyone can!
You can do this and I wish the best on your journey!3 -

Stay motivated for what exactly?
I enjoy being healthy and fit and I enjoy doing the things that lean, healthy, and fit people do...I enjoy eating well and I enjoy regular exercise. I do not have an all or nothing mentality...when things go awry (and this is real life, so they will) I just pick up where I left off. I have no illusions of being 100% "on" all of the time...so I don't beat myself up when I've missed a workout because something came up...I don't feel like some kind of miserable failure because I overate this one time, etc...
I recently had to take about four months off from any kind of intense exercise activity due to an injury...actually two injuries. I got back into things in mid November when I was cleared to do so...I just got back on my bike and resumed my training (though I had to dial it back a bit due to some lost fitness)...no biggie...just get back in the saddle. I put on about 10 Lbs during that time as well which kind of sucks, but it's not really that big of a deal...it'll come right off with my training, and particularly once the holiday season is behind us.
I've been doing this good livin' thing for over four years now...it's fun. Your "diet" doesn't have to be bland and boring...good nutritious foods can also be very delicious. Exercise is fun when you find something you enjoy doing...a lot of people force themselves to do exercise activities that they don't particularly enjoy because that's what they think they have to do...find something you enjoy. Eat a modest calorie deficit that doesn't make you want to claw your eyeballs out if you're trying to lose weight, and be consistent. Ultimately, developing healthy habits is the key...motivation is an emotion that comes and goes...habits die hard, both good and bad.1 -

Awesome
OP - All I need to do to be motivated is remember me NOT motivated. I hated what I saw in the mirror. I don't any more. My decision if I want to keep it that way.
Yours too, for you.2
