So, I've been slightly overweight (but not obese) since I was about twelve or so. I'm nineteen now, and want to change that while I'm still young!
I'm 5' 2" and weigh 158 pounds. Would it be realistic to lose 3 pounds per week the first two to four weeks, before going to 2 pounds per week? Also, what kind of exercises/exercise DVD's would be good for me to lose the most weight quickest? And how should I eat? I'm not really a fan of sandwiches or nuts, both of which I understand are healthy for you... Does anyone have any ideas?
Also, my kitchen is unavailable. I'm not kidding when I say that I live with a hoarder, so it's difficult to prepare food...
Let me know, thank you!
EDIT: Actually, what is the safest, quickest way to lose 20 pounds in six weeks or less? Is this a realistic goal?

My first suggestion would be for you to clean the kitchen in any way possible or leave the home. If you are not the hoarder then you shouldn't be having to live in the midst of such a psychologically draining space. If you don't like nuts then make fruit and veggie smoothies and add things like flax seeds.
If you want to lose weight extremely quickly and to tone up, Insanity and P90X will help like crazy. If these programs are unavailable to you. working out for an hour or two a day at a gym or really anywhere you can, alternating between cardio and strength training will make you lose the weight. Don't be afraid to also use protein supplements, as this can help optimize whatever results you are getting.
Every body is different. No one can tell you what you are going to lose and how long it will take.0 -
Thank you for answering!
I have several Jillian Michaels dvd's. Would those be good, too? I have 30 Day Shred and No More Trouble Zones. They're about 70 minutes together. If I did this with 20 minutes of moderate-high intensity elliptical and 10 minutes of strength training, would that be safe?
And no, I'm not the hoarder. That would be my mother, who I'm trying to break away from.0 -

I'm just starting out, myself. From everything I've read it's all about how hard you push yourself and for how long. Of course there is over-doing it, but I'm sure that whatever you do, as long as you do it enough, you will get in shape. Just do what you enjoy. There's so many different options to chose from, it's really just a matter or what you're motivated to try. =]
Also, best of luck with getting out of that situation. I know how overwhelming it can be. :brokenheart:0
