I usually eat breakfast first before exercising in the morning. I was just wondering if it would make a difference if i start to exercise first. Thanks

Nope. I always exercise first, then shower, coffee, breakfast.

It will not make a significant difference as far as burning fat, if that is what you are asking. It may affect performance but that's a personal thing that varies by individual. I can do cardio and lift upper body on an empty stomach but need to eat before lower body lifting.

    Make a difference in what?

I just wanted to make sure if you should or not on an empty stomach.

i think it's too personal to be worth worrying much about 'should'. some people can't do it on an empty stomach, some can't do it without one. so once you figure out what your own body prefers, just use that as your 'should' and proceed from there.

There might be value in eating something if the workout is long enough. Anything over an hour and you might want something. As an example that you don't need a ton beforehand, look at your runners or triathletes. Our races are usually in the morning and we don't take in much before. In my case, I've run half marathons off of pre existing glycogen and a bagel and Gatorade.

Personal opinion. I can't focus on exercise when I am too hungry. My son gets sick if he eats first. One of my classes I also get sick if I eat too much or certain things before. You have to do what works best for you.

From what I have read in health magazines it's fine (and sometimes beneficial) to work out before eating. But it definitely would be a personal thing like others mentioned. If you don't feel good when you try to do it before fueling up then stick to what works. Personally I prefer to work out before I eat. My usual day is: wake up, drink water, take dogs on 2 mile hike/run/walk, green tea, breakfast.

    Experiment.

I've found I can do 20 minutes fairly hard on the rowing machine or take a brisk 40 minute walk before eating, but it's a recipe for disaster (crash & burn of energy) if I go to spin class or for an on-water row (hour plus) without eating. Rowing requires more carbs than spin, so I put an Ezekiel pita under my peanut butter when I row, but eat Coco Lite Pop Cake (20-cal cracker-like thing) under the PB before spin. If I eat the pita before spin, though, I sometimes get heartburn. Go figure.

So, it's individual, and it may be somewhat complicated. Try stuff, see how it goes.

Again, "should or should not" for what reason in particular? For weight/fat loss? Doesn't matter one bit either way, as nutrient timing is irrelevant for weight loss. For workout performance? It may matter and it's entirely personal preference. Try it both ways and see what works best for you. Some people like working out on an empty stomach, others like to have at least a small snack before they exercise.
