I'm doing the stuff. I'm tracking my food now for two days, wearing my fitbit and gradually increasing my movement, and drinking water and iced tea like a fish.
but I don't want to get on the scale yet! so I'm not going to until I feel ready.
do you ever feel that way, that the number on the scale isn't the most important thing in the world, it's the behaviors that we practice that really count?
that's the story I'm giving myself this week as I start again with my baby steps. maybe i'll get on next week after tracking for a few more days.
how often do you weigh yourself?

"do you ever feel that way, that the number on the scale isn't the most important thing in the world, it's the behaviors that we practice that really count?" - YES, I do believe this. The scale is a helpful tool to track your progress but certainly not the only way.
Keep doing what you're doing! Consistency pays off. I would suggest getting a cloth measuring tape and take and track your measurements. I find that to be more helpful than the scale.1 -
There is no need whatsoever to get on the scale.
Track your intake for a few weeks then decide how many calories you can eat to lose weight.
A drop of 250 cals a day will give you .5 lbs loss per week so you can use that as a multiplier and lose at a rate that is comfortable for you. 2lbs a week max)
A tape or your clothes will indicate the direction you are moving.
Go into the weight loss and exercise at a maintainable, for you, rate. This will give you a greater chance of long term success.
Cheers, h.3
