Hi!!
Have you ever signed up for something and wonder if you're really ready to do what you've signed up to do? I join this program 4 months ago thinking I was ready. Just as I started, I was stopped by the inability to bend my knee. Nov. 15, 2016 I had surgery repairing the problems. Now that I'm almost done with therapy and learning what happen had a little bit to do with arthritis and a lot to do with my weight gain, it's time to make a change. But where do I start? I sat down here today and read a feed of a woman in her 20's who has battled a lot more than I have. Sometimes it takes that one paragraph, sentence or action to really know you're ready and committed. I am inspired by the obstacles this woman has overcome and plan to add her as a friend since I'm just getting started. I determined the first step was to get honest with myself and others of my intentions. I weighed in today at an uncomfortable 247 lbs. Wow, when my weight gain journey started I was a mere 115 lbs. 5' 6". I'm miserable in my own skin. My weight gain started after my gallbladder surgery. I could eat again. And eat I did. Then 3 years ago still carrying the 60lbs I gained from earlier, I quit smoking. Another 40 lbs. Now, it's time to get rid of the extra pounds, as I've gotten rid of the nasty habit. My goal is to lose 110lbs. I live on a farm where life is anything but lazy. We raise our own meat, grow and store our own vegetables, and our dairy products are straight from the cow. Please don't brow beat our lifestyle it is what we do. Our goal is to be as self sufficient as possible. Feel free to ad me, this will be a lot more fun with friends.

You really can do this and it will have great benefits to your physical issues with joints. Best advice is one day at a time, if you have a bad day don't let it turn into a bad week or month. Complete the food and excecise section of your diary honestly and everyday, you can see any wrong foods that way, if you want perps to help you with food choices open your diary to friends. Get mutually supportive friends on MFP. Add me if you offer mutual support. Good luck with your journey0
