Time To Get Serious

Hello. I'm new to getting serious about weight loss so, it's very nice to be able to join a huge cheering section. Comfort food has been my crutch for comfort and my goal is to change my choice of foods and preparation techniques. I have had previous successes losing weight using Atkins, but that no longer works for me since my body has learned and uses it's defenses now. Time to switch to counting calories.

My plans are to get used to using my new blender and learn different approaches to food. I'm now drinking a green smoothie for breakfast, a chef salad for lunch and a regular dinner. I plan on being totally ready after the first of the year in putting to use a more beneficial dedicated eating routine.

At 65, excessive weight is slowing me down and sapping my energy and getting in the way of my gardening and other hobbies. Time to regroup!
