App activity calorie count - accuracy?

How accurate is the MapMyRun/ MyFitnessPal exercise calorie counter? Anyone know? It says I burnt 2,200 calories just with activity today!!!
I am currently on vacation and spent my day outdoors enjoying the beautiful weather (Texas, sunny, breezy, 50-60 degrees). Started my day with a low key Hatha yoga class and then drove to the park for a 5K speed/interval run (training to run a half marathon right now).
After a huge breakfast and catnap, my friend invited me on a hike at a nearby state park. We got a little lost and ended up hiking 6.5 miles in some hilly terrain on some rocky trails. Normally, I don't do this much activity in a single day!! I am totally exhausted!!!
I am 5'3" and 160 pounds - I am pretty active on most days and have never come close to burning that many calories with activity. Not even on my long 8 mile Sunday runs! I am currently half way through a plate of Christmas goodies my neighbor dropped off so I would love confirmation that this calorie burn is accurate...
