NSV - Have you been working out?

I am not much of a presence on the forums .... more of a lurker (don't judge). This is the place where I start my morning to find inspiration and motivation - so thank you MFP'ers.
On to my story ....
This lifestyle change started in May, I have been counting my calories and walking - it was working. Then I have been reading all the threads, and strength training, heavy lifting were all recommended. And, no, I don't life heavy .... yet, but I have been taking strength training classes 2-3 times a week at a local fitness studio, and I finally can see some definition in my arms and my thighs are a little tighter when I flex
My boss, who was away on vacation for two weeks (and has lost 50 lbs himself previously, and is a P90X guy) comes into my office and talks business, then looks at me and says "Have you been working out?" (I am wearing a sleeveless top) .... I reply "a little" :blushing: , his response? "I wouldn't say a little, it shows ... you are looking great!".
I have been giddy all day  ..... It's an incredible feeling when people are starting to notice, encourage you along the way and compliment you to boot
Here is to all the NSV and SV in the MFP community!!!! :drinker:

Nice job, it is amazing when people start to notice. Kudos to you on starting weight training already. My lifestyle change started in March and while I do cardio I have not yet started with the weights. I would like to but am super busy right now...my daughter is getting married in 40 days. I am hoping to find a class or have someone teach me in the fall when all this wedding stuff is out of the way.0

"Have you been working out?" is 10 x better than "have you lost weight?", which is pretty awesome in and of itself!
Way to get strong, lady!!0 -

Thank you!!!! I think that's exactly what made it awesome (since someone else at work asked how much weight have you lost?)0 -

Way to go on the weight loss! Check out local gyms .... they are bound to have classes like cardio and abs, total body toning ... they are not strictly lifting, more like using your own body for resistance ... but that would be a great place to start Good luck with the wedding ... I am sure your daughter and you will both be radiant.0 -
