I know something like this was discussed a little bit ago, so this thread is to show off outfits/makeup perfection, for us shopping-impaired people to ask for advice from the fashionistas, to ask if this looks good/bad/ugly, etc. If y'all want, I could make a kik group too, for quicker responses (aka in dressing rooms).

So I'll start: I need a pair of black flats for work. I'm pretty cheap and have simple style, but I have a $50 gift card to DSW, but I could get something somewhere else if I like it enough :p I also really like ankle straps.

Yes!! I had a black pair like this. With black tights and a skirt maybe?

Super cute shoes, @angelxsss! Yes -- wear with a pencil skirt was my first thought... or any skirt... or with tapered-leg, cropped pants.

Guys I'm proud of me! Here's what I ended up with (and ignore my butchered legs):

I did look for those booties at the second DSW I ended up getting stuff from, but none of them were on clearance (and I'm a cheapskate). But thanks for the tips- I feel like if I see a good deal on a pair of those in the future, I'll confidently pick them up :)

Pair 1 is good, 2 is great. 3 and 4, umm, are you over 50? Of course, that's my opinion, greatly influenced by the fact that I abhor flats, so take it with a big ol' grain of salt.
I don't consider myself a fashionista, but I get asked ALOT where I buy my clothes and footwear. So maybe I am. Several of my colleagues say they want me to go shopping with them lol.

I usually wear nothing but flats, so those were essentials haha. They're going to be staples.

I have never known how to fashion. My problem is my belly - it makes me look pregnant, and everything is so unflattering on me. Does anyone have tips on how to hide a belly?

Honestly? I just went ahead and bought a maternity shirt one time and it looked amazing. The stomach was what I had to dress for a while back and that maternity shirt new how to hide a belly while still looking hot. I second the flowy and low cut shirts. Boobs definitely draw the eye. Wear a bold necklace to bring attention upwards.

Don't do flows shirts it would just accentuate the stomach area.
Probably stuff kind of tapered would be best but honestly I don't know. But don't do empire waist or everyone will be asking when you're due

Oooooh so cool looking. From my quick google, it looks like there are some similar ones at Kohls, if there's one near you.

The question was asked, I answered. Not sure why some felt the need to make fun of me for responding. I guess some people consider dressing attractively a crime.

There's lots of flowy top styles for cheap on Amazon, surprisingly enough! I've heard good things about LuLaRoe, though it's a pain because you have to buy from a consultant (search FB groups). I've only tried the leggings on and they really are comfy. They have lots of flowy tops with funky prints.

Pair with skinny jeans/leggings, booties, chunky cowl and you're good to go.
