Hello:
Was wondering if anyone has used the Valeo Waist Trimmer? I know that there is no magic thing that will trim my waist other than diet and exercise however i wanted to know what is being said out there about them and do they do anything for you?
I am wearing one right now that I've had for a year and all I can of course feel is the sweating but I don't know what else will it do?
Thanks...

I just bought mines from amazon and it works AMAZINGLY! you should wear it when you work out and you should see some results, the more you sweat the better, I have lost a lot of inches on my waist line0

really? I am wearing mine right now at work bc I like that it keeps my posture nicely, but now I will try to use it at the gym! Thanks0

It's just water weight that's coming off.....0
-
I had to google it. What's it supposed to do?0

Would it still be just water weight if you exercise AND eat right? I will NOT just be using it without the hardwork. Just wondering.0

just sweating more isn't necessarily going to lead to fat loss. Losing water weight is alluring, since those are the easiest pounds to shed, but the fact is, if that's all you're shedding, it's not sustainable or even "real" weight loss. You may lose inches off your waist, but that is simply due to the dehydration of your tissues. Drink a few glasses of water or eat a meal, and the inches and pounds come right back.0

If you're talking about the wrap, yes.... It may make your waist smaller, but as stated that's just dehydration, and will come back once you re-hydrate.
All these do is make the area hot so it sweats. Sweating is the body's way of cooling you down.
There is no way to spot reduce.... It just takes caloric deficit, work (cardio/weights), and patients.0 -

You answered your own question. You know it won't do anything (permanently) but then you admit to wearing it anyway. And then you ask if it works? Talk about contradicting yourself.0 -
Why settle for a waist trimmer when you could be wearing a corset?0

The most asinine product I have ever seen...0

This cracked me up big time haha0 -
Tape a garbage bag around your waist. It will do the same thing, which is nothing.0

Plank. Then plank again. And one more time for good measure. That'll strengthen your core muscles and you'll look and be trimmer. True story.0

Same thing goes for those body wraps. You lose inches then gain them alllll back. Pointless! You cannot spot reduce! Unless, you get lypo. LOL0 -
I just got back from a 5 mile hike in 100 degree heat. I'm pretty sure my waist size dropped 2 inches.0

If you know there's no magic thing, then why are you asking? There really isn't any magic cure.
They may make you lose inches, but it's just water, which comes back as soon as you rehydrate. They can actually be quite dangerous in this summer heat, with how much they make you sweat.

Nose hair trimmers produce instant results. Better value.0

Well....Thanks for those with actual good advice and for answering my question. For those that needed to have a "smart" comments to make, I was just solely inquiring about it and to see what information I could gather, so the High School mean girl/guy comments weren't needed!
And just to clarify...I have had it for a year, NOT used it for a year at all. If at all maybe 3 times but it just went in my closet.
Thanks.0 -

What good advice are you looking for? You said yourself in the very first post that you "know that there is no magic thing that will trim my waist other than diet and exercise" so are you looking for something to contradict the truth?
Sweating is not fat crying, it's not an indicator of anything other than the body is hot and is trying to cool itself. Otherwise, we would all just be chowing down on twinkies and sun bathing our perfectly fit bodies.
They do nothing.0 -

So what was the final tally (from those with 'actual good advice', of course)? Was the vote yea or nay?0 -

I realize that my comment re waist trimmers vs hair trimmers may have come off as "smart" or "mean", and for that I apologize.
I'm in a mood and shouldn't have responded.
Sorry if that rubbed you the wrong way, and really sorry if it hurt your feelings.0 -
Maybe it wasn't "advice" i was looking for...just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on it, plain and simple! Wasn't looking for the silliness. And going back on the "I know there is NO magic pill", I was once again stating that I DO know that is hard work so I wanted to know what was being said out there about this. That was it.
No hard feelings though...not ashamed to say that I am learning as I go and that is why...I am here asking!
Thanks everyone (even the meanies, lol)0
