Gym calories

I'm trying to go back to the gym every day and I know some people dont eat back their work out calories and some people only eat back part of them.
When I go to the gym I usually do an hour on the treadmill and burn roughly 825 calories (according to the machine) and do some arm/leg machines and some core exercises. I wanna log only 400 calories that I burn from the gym. Would this be an okay way to log? I have trouble staying at 1200 calories a day so I would like to log some of my gym calories

Try it and see. The machines tend to overestimate, so half sounds like a smart place to start.0
