Trying to kick artificial sweeteners

I went cold turkey on artificial sweeteners after eating an intense amount of them the past few days and noticing how starving I was all day every day. Figured there may be a link.

Needless to say between the holidays and my sugar cravings, I totally went off the rails and ate a stupid amount of calories.

Has anyone else done this? How did you do it? How did it go for you?

Just don't use them...it's not like they're crack or something...they're just artificial sweeteners.

Look at labels. Don't buy foods or drinks with artificial sweeteners. Don't add artificial sweeteners to your food or drinks.
Eat more fresh foods. Make more foods from scratch. Drink more water or unsweetened drinks.

I got used to using artificial sweeteners 11 years ago, when i was diagnosed with Diabetes. They do seem to make me want to eat food, after having something sweetened with them.....especially if it's a diet soda.

Yes they're a migraine trigger for me. I switched to lacroix water. After a little while I grew used to plain coffee and tea. Just hang in there and be committed to not using them! Sometimes I seem to "forget" and use them! For about two days I'm like wow calorie free and sooo sweet... then bam... migraine.
