First NSV!

Hi everyone! This is the first topic that I have posted on here. I hadn't planned on ever posting any topics, I planned to just use the site to keep track of my calories and read the forums to get advice from others' posts. I am so excited today, and I just wanted to share my NSV. I started my weight loss journey on April 24th, and have lost 19.6 lbs in just under 90 days, which has put me at 165 lbs. It's so nice to see the number on the scale dropping, but I have been discouraged because I don't see much of a change yet when I look in the mirror. I was just going through some old clothes that I had pulled out of the closet that I haven't been able to wear for a while. I decided to try on a pair of capri pants that were uncomfortably tight on me last summer. I can't keep them on without a belt! They are loose all over, and last year they were too tight in the waist, thighs and butt. It's so nice to see that my hard work is paying off, even though I couldn't see the changes yet. I'm not a true success story yet, but I'm getting there slowly but surely.

I know it was hard for me to see the changes. However, when I started using belts and safety pins to hold my pants up I knew I was making progress. Keep up the good work.

    True 'dat!

I burst out laughing this morning as a pair of formerly tight pants (that I had just put on) literally fell to the floor when I made an adjustment to my shirt collar.

I was still getting dressed and hadn't tightened the belt yet. That's when I knew, "I dun' good!"

That's too funny! It's so nice to see the changes, even though I'm not looking forward to buying new clothes while I'm still losing weight.
