SO i got a fitbit charge 2 for christmas. I have link myfitpal and fitbit. You can see my steps and calories burned but my exercises arent showing up on my home feed and when i click exercise to view the details it just shows that I have 6200 steps but doesnt say anything about my elliptical or treadmill workouts from this morning. Is there anyone else having this issue>>

It's not an issue. It's how fitbit works with MFP. Your adjustment will be based on your total calorie burn from fitbit, not individual exercise. Your step count is incidental.0

Meaning if you lift weight or do body weight excercise fitbit cant count your calorie burnt?

That's not an issue.
That's just how it works. If you want, you can input your exercise in MFP, just make sure the start times match, and MFP will adjust accordingly.
I don't bother, the numbers come to the same.
I am a big fan of my Charge2 being GPS capable and tracking my splits. If it tracked my shoe miles my Runkeeper would be obsolete!1 -
I have a Garmin Vivoactive HR and it's great.
