Heya my name's Diamond! I'm 24 and I just started using myfitnesspal 2 days ago. I actually used to have an account but I forgot the email, username and password so I just decided to make a new one! My mom has an account too and she's my only friend on here so far.
Little background info on me (not that anyone cares lol) I'm currently training for my very first marathon!!! I've done two 5k's and this year (2017) I plan on doing two more 5ks and a 10 k, then next year(2018) I'll hope fully be ready for either the half marathon or the full...or both! I came to myfitnesspal because I want to be at the best weight possible for me to run the fastest while getting all of the nutrients my body needs. Plus I heard there's some great running communities here so I can get all the tips!
I also came here because eating is very difficult for me. I'm in recovery right now but I've been fighting bulimia for 13 years, literally since I was 11 years old. I've lost my entire preteens/teenager/ young adult years to this disorder. While other kids my age were hanging out with friends or studying or going to parties I was home, in my room, binging and purging and then crying myself to sleep.I flunked out of a great university because of anxiety and constant purging meant I was always too weak to go to class. I ended up purging into ziplock bags in my room because I was vomiting so much the toilets were clogging.
I finally decided to recover last year because of my wonderful, loving boyfriend had an awesome idea to help me. Since most of my binges were on junk or fast food he thought that I should focus on eating mostly natural foods. Also, he's a photographer and he used to do food reviews with his friend so we decided that we'd do the same thing only do the review on mostly healthy, natural restaurants and how it was to eat there while in recovery so that other people with ed's might be able to have somewhere to go that will feel "safe" while still being able to eat like everyone else.
We actually have a whole blog dedicated to it but I don't wanna sound like I'm just here promoting myself because I really am here because I heard that there are great communities with lots of support and I don't have to do any of this alone.
Damn, that's long. I'm sorry. Anyway....Hi!!!!
